Roles and seats
Roles

| Workspace Admin | Everything: manage integrations, people, groups, organization settings, and invitations. |
| People Leader (Manager) | Run the growth loop for their directs in My Team, invite people to their teams, and see their part of the org. |
| Team Member | Full Ren coaching: Morning Brief, chat with Ren, profile, groups. |
| Team Profile (lite seat) | A free profile so teammates and Ren have context about this person. Lite seats don't sign in or receive coaching. |
Every full seat is the same price, whatever the role — managers use Ren to coach their team, ICs use it for peer-to-peer tension, and directs use it to surface what isn't working up.
Roles are assigned when someone is invited (or during onboarding for new workspaces) and can be managed by admins in Workspace → People.
Teams can also have their own managers, who can manage membership and roles within that team.
How seats are counted
Your subscription includes a set number of seats. A seat is used by:
- every active member (admins, managers, and team members), and
- every pending invitation — an invite holds a seat until it's accepted or cancelled.
Team Profile (lite) seats are free and are a good fit for people whose context matters to the team but who won't use Ren themselves.
When you run out of seats
If all seats are in use, new invitations can't be sent. To free up seats, cancel pending invitations you no longer need or deactivate members who've left. To add seats, go to Settings → Plan — see Plans, billing & free trial.
If someone on your team sees a "no seat" message when they sign in, their account doesn't have a seat assigned — an admin can fix that from Workspace → People.
