Growth plans

A growth plan is a focused, time-boxed commitment to one area of growth for a direct report. Plans are the "P" in the Plan / Practice / Progress ring you see on every team member's card in My Team.

Creating a plan

  1. Go to My Team and find the team member's card. If they have no active plan, you'll see a Set growth plan prompt (it also appears on your Home page).
  2. Clicking it opens a conversation with Ren that already knows who you're planning for. Describe the area of growth you have in mind — Ren helps you shape it into a concrete plan.
  3. Confirm the plan. It becomes active with a due date about a month out.

While a plan is active, the member's card shows the plan summary and a green check on their progress ring. A View full plan link opens the complete picture — goals, focus, and committed actions.

When a plan comes due

When the due date passes, the member's card asks one question: "Was this plan successful?"

If yes:

  • Complete & archive it — celebrate the win and clear the slate for what's next.
  • Extend it as-is — good progress, more runway needed. The plan continues for another month.

If not yet:

  • Keep the same plan another month — the goal is right; it needs more time.
  • Adjust the plan — opens a conversation with Ren to reshape it.
  • Complete it & start something different — close this chapter and begin a new one.

You can always choose Start a different plan instead, and a Back button returns you to the first question if you change your mind.

Monthly rhythm

Plans and Connects reset together on the 1st of each month. If a plan has lapsed, the member's card shows the previous plan with a Confirm plan option — one click carries the same theme into the new month, so you're never starting from a blank page. Or set a fresh plan whenever the focus has changed.
